The BlackBerry Storm Is Available from Verizon Starting Today

RIM’s latest smartphone, the BlackBerry 9530 or the Storm has been released to the public today. The smartphone was certainly inspired from the iPhone and it’s the first phone from RIM to go full touchscreen.
And it looks like Verizon had some problems releasing the phone today. It looks like the carrier had to re-flash the phones because of some tiny, but still present, security flaw in the OS. Verizon stores reported lines and I am sure that quite a few people will be back the following days to actually get their Storm. Not that the Storm is not a great phone. Not at all! We have talked about it earlier on MobileTopSoft. It has a large touchscreen, 3G support, haptic feedback, third-party applications coming up. And more! This Berry might be just the thing the cell phone market needed. A strong competitor for the iPhone!
All that remains now is for Symbian or Windows Mobile to power better and better touchscreen phones. What do you think about the Storm? Would you give up your current phone to get one?
